We LOVE elopements! There’s something so special and romantic about two people making their wedding just about themselves.
Stacey got in touch with us about a week before her wedding. She and Steven were coming in from Indiana over Valentine’s Day and had their ceremony planned for February 15th. Colorado weather can go a million different directions in February. There are snowy days. There are sunny days. And then, there are WINDY days…Needless to say, the day after Valentine’s Day this year, was a little of all of those combined!
With the wind blowing and hair flying everywhere, Stacey and Steven were all smiles as they said their vows at Lookout Mountain, outside of Golden, Colorado.
Tessa, the officiant that Simply Eloped provided the couple with, oversaw the vows, as well as the “Wedding Knot” ceremony. This is where the couple tie a knot into a rope to symbolize their love and future and how it will continue to be strong.
Obviously, every bride wants perfect weather when it comes to her wedding day. But true love (and good hair and makeup) endures all, even a little wind! We get really excited when photos come back and we see that hair and makeup has withstood wind, rain and even hours of dancing! Stacey’s hair is the perfect example of a classic, romantic and sturdy! When we were discussing options for her style, we made sure to be mindful of giving her the soft romantic down style she was looking for, while at the same time making sure it would hold up through whatever her outside ceremony and photos may throw at her!
Even while trekking all around the mountains and through the snow. Stacey couldn’t have looked more gorgeous! Walnut Street Photography were sure to find the most epic spots for the most epic wedding photos!
Thank you so much to Stacey and Steven for letting us be a part of your wedding day! You were wonderful to work with and we wish you and your new little family many, many years of happiness!
