Emily got married last spring in Cincinnati. She gave us a call after an unsuccessful trial with another beauty vendor and was very stressed (obviously) because her wedding was less than 2 months away! Fortunately, we were able to get her a new trial scheduled immediately and she decided to move forward with R & R as her hair and makeup team!
Emily wanted to keep her look simple and classic. This teacher wanted to feel and look like herself on her wedding day, just more elegant and enhanced. Keeping her hair down and with soft waves worked for her and her bridal party followed suit with soft, elegant hair and makeup.
Trials can be pretty stressful. There’s a lot of pressure on finding the perfect hair and makeup for your wedding day and also an artist that can get your vision and execute it perfectly. Hairstylists and makeup artists vary, as do their talents and what they excel in. If you’re looking for a natural look, seeking out the beauty team that specializes in high glam may not be the best fit for you and vice versa. Make sure you look through portfolios and notice that the style you are looking at matches yours before moving forward. Asking lots of questions during the trial is great, as well as giving lots of feedback. We want you to love your look! If we need to make adjustments and try a different lip color or your hair looser, that is FINE! Our goal during a trial is our bride walking out feeling beautiful and confident, just like she should on her wedding day.
Make sure you do your research and show up to your trial prepared with photos and plenty of questions! It’s (usually) the first meeting with your artist and it will set the tone of your wedding day! And if you need a 2nd trial or realize maybe you need to find a new artist, that’s fine, too! Hair and makeup should be the most fun and least stressful part of the planning process!
