Everyone knows that Colorado, Denver especially, is a melting pot of people from all over the country! When Lindsey gave us a call with an Ohio area code, I got a little excited, since Ohio was where R & R was born. Lindsey and her husband, Garren, had moved to Denver a few years prior and decided to have their wedding in Vail instead of back in the midwest. Planning an out of state wedding poses a whole new set of challenges and frankly, September in Ohio is still pretty hot and humid! Let’s be real, Denver in September can still be pretty warm. Deciding to escape the heat and treat their out of town guests to the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, the couple decided on Piney River Ranch as their ceremony and reception venue.
Set among the pine trees and aspens, this venue has it all for an outdoor, mountain, rustic wedding! Wildlife included:
Lindsey and Garren had their ceremony on set on the deck of Piney Lake, set at the foot of the majestic Gore Range.
Bergreen Photography, specializing in Colorado and outdoor weddings and anything adventurous, were the perfect fit for this outdoor loving couple! Not only were they able to get some really amazing shots of the Colorado landscape, they did a beautiful job capturing the love between Lindsey and Garren.
Piney River Ranch is a unique venue on many levels. Not only is it a wedding venue, but they also offer retreats as well as day trips, which means your guests also have the option for a place to stay after the reception winds down!
And nothing beats sitting around a bonfire as the night starts to cool down! There are so many wonderful venues to choose from in Colorado. Finding a place that’s unique and true to your style as a couple can really set the tone for your day.
