We heard from Sarah last October, about 2 weeks before her November wedding! A family friend had offered to do her hair as a wedding gift, but when plans fell through last minute, she contacted R & R to see if we could help out last minute! Fortunately, we were able to throw together a team for her and pull it off flawlessly!
Sarah and her bridal party got ready at the Carnegie Center in Columbia-Tusculum. When looking at a getting ready location, you want to keep in mind what a venue’s bridal suite set up is. Taking into consideration space for your bridal party to be able to relax, plenty of counter space for makeup and hair tools along with mirrors and electrical outlets is extremely important. Sarah and her maids got dressed in what would later be the reception spot. Ample space and big windows provided great lighting for getting ready photos.
When choosing your getting ready location (if it’s different from your ceremony venue) it can be extremely important to factor in travel time, as that directly effects how much time you have to get ready. After the girl’s had finished dressing, they headed to Sarah’s ceremony venue to for first look and group photos. The Old Chapel in Mariemont provided a timeless backdrop to set the tone for this classic and elegant wedding.
The inside of the chapel is just as beautiful as the outside and Bird and Rose Photography did a phenomenal job capturing it all.
Sometimes when planning a wedding or event, things don’t go perfectly. Glitches happen and you have to adapt and come up with a new plan. Handling it with grace and being flexible can really save a lot of stress. Who knows…it may even work out better than your original plan.
